Yes, My ward is an example of one affected by a Mayoral appointment. Our citizens deserve a
say in who is appointed to lead them in City Council, and that decision should not be left up to the Mayor. Ending this Mayoral appointment would go a long way to ending the
culture of rubber stamping in City Hall.

yes. But adequate time for candidates to campaign must
be afforded or the advantage is with the candidate with the most funding, usually a connected
candidate close to the mayor anyway. So, an appointment should be made for the 3 month period
that it should take candidates to campaign for the office.
