INSERT OFFICE STAFF INFO

Gerald Scott McCarthy IVI-IPO 2017 Chicago City Council

I will have three full-time employees and two part-time employees. I will pay their salaries primarily from the city budget but to attract the best qualified applicants, I would be competing with private sector employers. Therefore, if the funds are available, in order to attract and retain the best qualified staff, I will supplement salaries with campaign contributions to the extent allowable by law. Additionally, we hope to develop a relationship with the community so that we can also supplement our office staff with skilled and trained volunteers from the various neighborhoods.

Marcellus H. Moore, Jr. IVI-IPO 2017 Chicago City Council

I would expect to have a staff comprised in a similar fashion to previous alderman in the ward. I would make an effort to have office hours outside of a regular M-F/9a-5p schedule, however, to accommodate those many workers in the ward that would otherwise be unable to visit the office during those times. As it is, I often have office hours in the evening and weekends to accommodate my current client load. In another capacity, as Director of Operations of HPKL, I am often at the fields as early as 6a preparing for the days games. I would have open forums on an almost weekly basis (one meeting per month for each the South Loop, Bronzeville/Gap, Hyde Park/North Kenwood portions of the ward PLUS a monthly meeting for an “all ward” meeting.
